(And I'd love a Flip video camera because the one I have was fried when my iced tea flipped out of the cupholder in the car and landed upside down in my purse.)
Nice to 'meet' you. You are doing lots of interesting things; I'll be back.
How about embarassing moments? Cuz I have lots of embarassing moments. Like one time in band camp.....OK, not band camp, although I was in band and I did go to band camp.
Like, that one time I clogged the toilet and made it overflow right before my date with a new guy arrived? Being the classy girl I am, I made him wait with me for the apartment complex maintenance guy to come unclog the darn thing.
Or how about that one time when the trainer at the gym tapped me on the shoulder to inform me that I had dropped a pair of panties out of my gym shorts? Horror, oh horror.
Or when I was sitting around with a group of friends chatting and unvoluntarily let out a sonic boom? I tried to play it off as if it didn't happen (as if my friends were deaf and couldn't hear a fart only 5 ft away from them). This happened over 12 years ago and I;m still horrified.
Oh, there are many more embarassing moments but I am sure this is enough for you. Right?
I'm not very good at following the rules, am I?
BTW, I've only been to Chicago twice, but, absolutely love it. If I had a second life, I would certainly want to live in Chicago.
now gimme that Flip! ;)
Oh yea and blogging has plenty of perks! Love it!
nice to meet you check out my post #157 #ubp page
I can burp the alphabet. ;o) Classy, I know.
I am at this point in life- ok have for a long time not cared what others think or have andhave taught my kids just becuase they have a big house does not mean they have alot in life going for themselves- I am teaching my kids things you cannot take with you...but memories last forever and to make a difference in life as you go along and when you can...no matter if it seems small, it still is a difference.

I am an aunt to two , a mom to two and a big sis to too
my baby sis and my son, both red heads, also have the same birthday
my daughter looks stunningly like myself at that age, and I have a pic of my mom , at my age, and its hard to tell us apart
oh, and I once posted a baby pic and labeled it as my son, where it was really my baby sis lol
http://twitter.com/carogonza/status/1360804565
I learned a lot about you. Hope you will visit and learn something more about me...
Like you I'm the mother of a kid with a disability. My daughter has Williams Syndrome and is now 22 years old. Her older sister sometimes finds it irritating, but whatever.
As for something interesting, I typically go with the "high school dropout to finishing a PhD" or some such, but that's kind of lame-o. Instead, the oldest kid can: burp the alphabet and touch the tip of her nose with her tongue (though not always at the same time); the youngest has a rather unique talent - you know armpit farts? She can make them with her legs and her neck. I'm such a proud mother. =)
I tweeted the contest.
http://twitter.com/jodifur/status/1362134127
You can't say that isn't interesting.
Interesting?
I was born in Russia. And I have 'two high school diplomas'. Who can say that? Haha My name was misspelled, so we were able to get another one done (thankfully).
So, did I ever tell you about the time Les Claypool wanted to trade pants with me? : )
I have birthed babies 4 times and each time it was a Tuesday - and I didn't plan it that way! Also, the 1st three babies were each born on a Tuesday following a Monday holiday. AND their birthdates are 21, 22, 27, 29.
Makes me wonder what would happen if I had more babies. :)
One interesting thing about me, is that at age 20 (some 20+ years ago), I brought my own house. A total handi-man special that was falling apart. I basically redid the whole house. Some with help, like the electric and roof and lots by myself. Took down walls and all...I also ended up with a nail in my foot the first week I owned the house. lol Shortly after the house was totally renovated, I met my husband and sold the house. But I learned a lot about being self sufficient and that if you put your mind to it, you can do it!
Thanks so much for this wonderful giveaway!
I will never forget that day on the mountain when He came to me
and told me that He loved me and will always take care of me.
Oh, and LOVE that video.

I learned how to drive a stick shift car when I was 16. The first time I drove it into a high traffic area I killed the car smack dab in the middle of an intersection right as the light turned red. I was convinced that I was about to be barreled over by a truck coming my way and panicked. I never drove a stick shift again, and to this day I panic every time I try to "re learn" driving a stick shift. Yes, my friends, only automatics for me.

I also ride a harley and started college last year at age 44. I'm proud of my good grades and can do attitude.
It's a neat experience because many of these tend to have a better variety of specialty foods than a regular supermarket (and a better variety), and their authentic foods usually don't have any artificial ingredients that are difficult to read. Each time I go, I usually pick up something new to try.
continued next post - I can't say what I want in one post :)
Their travels, I guess would have to make me somewhat interesting. They picked up pieces of all of these cultures they lived in. My fam was big on living off the American compounds and living like the locals. I grew up with family who had been influenced by the best and worst of the world. I see life through differently because of it.
I also have some very interesting pieces in my home from their travels. We have the most amazing Arabian feast when we all get together!
I would love to win a Flip - I've never had one - it would be fun to capure life where it happens!
from animal shelters. (freaaa@gmail.com)
Hope that's noot lame :)
So an interesting thing about me, huh? Well, I work as a stage manager (theatre) and my work has taken me to such interesting places as NYC, where I worked on 2 Broadway shows, Alaska, Poland and south Alabama! (How's that for diversity!?)
Happy blogging! :) Going to follow you on Twitter now and tweet your contest. @jennelsonlane
I am a 100% disabled Female Veteran. Female Veterans tend to be forgotten. Even at the VA Hospital I get asked if I am there with a veteran. I always see the eyebrows go up when I say "I am the veteran."
What about this one??? I was NOT going to have kids before age 25 because I wanted my Master's degree and to "have a life" first. Heh heh... I'm 27 and I have three daughters, ages (almost) 5, 3, and 7 months. Never say never, people! But, I love my life, and I wouldn't change a thing.
I REALLY want this flip! Our video camera broke {sob} and I'm just itching for a flip.
www.twitter.com/everydayjane
http://twitter.com/PsychMamma/status/1365976531
Maybe that's not interesting... just weird. Hopefully close enough, though, to get me a little closer to a Flip of my own!! :-)
I adjusted well, however, I think I was clueless sometimes. When we moved from Germany to the USA, I never caught on that we were moving. We left one day and never came back. I was absolutely in la-la land because to this day I wonder, "What's up with that?"
But, country-jumping molded me into someone who easily and eagerly learns and accepts all cultures.

Let's see...something interesting? Well, you already know I have a twin. But something maybe you didn't know is that people ask us all the time if we're related to Marie Osmond. One day after work at Disneyland, Kim and I got stormed by a group of people from Japan. They kept saying, "Osmonds! Osmonds! Picture!" We kept trying to tell them that we were not Osmonds, but they insisted. So we thought, "Oh well!" And we put our arms around them and let their friend take a snapshot. LOL! Perhaps it made their day- who knows! ;)
Thanks so much!!!!
Hope you are having fun at the party. I would also like to invite you to link to Show off your Blog Saturday! I would love to read your favorite post!

So that's the saga of the day I drowned my van!!!!

10 years ago (a lil over!) I lived in a homeless/battered women's shelter. I had no car, no HS Diploma, no job, and 3 kids. 10 years later, I have a Security Clearance, work on a government installation, have had 2 cars, have my GED, 1/2 way to my AA, I'm driven, focused, and still a single mom (for the most part!). I love my kids and there is nothing I wouldn't do for them! And I wouldn't change a THING! :-)
oh and I belong to One2One too! and I LOVE IT!
Talk about a party!
I'm quite intrigued and am learning how to get around!
Just stopping by from 5minutes for moms blog party!

Arianne, that was such a fabulous video.
Hmmm.... something interesting about me... let me think...
Okay, here's something rather heavy-duty:
I have a serious anxiety disorder (that I currently take medication for) and that causes me to throw up and pass out much more often than I would like. Although thanks to said medication it is quite under control at the moment and the last time I passed out was in November. But I'm scared to come off the medication.
Well, there's something to bring down the mood at the party. But since you have hundreds of comments here, I'm confident no one will read it, so the mood will remain as fun and upbeat as your video.
Thanks for partying girl! You ROCK!
I was a flight attendant for American Airlines based out of Boston. I quit shortly before 9/11 and was shocked when I found out that one of the flights was the same route I used to fly quite often. I always wonder what could have happened if I had not quit.
And if that isn't interesting enough, I have another. I have a nephew that is 2 years older than me :)

Great giveaway... One interesting thing about me is that I was French Student of the year when I was in the ninth grade.
http://twitter.com/doozercries/status/1379641311
I am terrified of geese. I can never take my kids to a farm...
And for ugh.....My ex-husband had a friend who hung out at our house once in a while. I didn't like him, chased him off our property, pushed him in the chest and told him to get lost. TOTALLY freaked me out to find out he ended up going to jail for killing his brother, cutting his head and hands off....something about sleeping with his wife. Yeah. Good times, huh?
And something interesting about me? I can make this crazy noise with my stomach that I've never heard anyone else do. It freaks my family out. It's true raw talent. Oh yeah.

I'm a traveler and as a child built cabins in the forest of the alaska mountains, my friend had a wolf as a pet, I watched the totem carver carve totem poles while eating the smoked fish he would also be smoking. I watched the natives dance at the chief shakes cermony(wrangell alaska) to honor the new totems, Sadly my father was lost at sea in a fishing boat accident so my mother being pregnant with her 7th child (6 of us kids under the age of 13) didn't want to live on the island any longer traveled by ferry, train, bus and taxi
So you seeing I'm boring so need to win to bring some life to my dull stories or have them video'ed for proof for my great great great grandchildren.
Thank you so much for your time

I am parent of a child with profound disabilities. He changed my life is so many ways--both good and bad as I am sure you know. He directed me to a new career (not so new now that he is 15) of ensuring that ALL kids have access to great play opportunities whether that be playgrounds, museums, or toys.
You can find more about what I do at www.letkidsplay.com. Please know that this business is brand new and the site is in Beta land big time.
I look forward to getting to know you.

Seriously. I had artificial lenses inserted, sort of like cataract surgery, only I didn't have cataracts. So now instead of not being able to read without coke bottle glasses because my nose gets in the way of getting close enough to the page, I can drive legally without corrective lenses (well, except for the ones that are a now a permanent part of me), which is pretty awesome.
Also, I feel just a little bit like the six million dollar man.
This coming July I will be 52 years old. I have two grown children and 5 beautiful grandchildren.

My oldest daughter was the *lookout* since I have something of a lead foot. ;-)
This was way before the day of personal dvd players or anything and we had a blast- Livin' La Vida Loca was one of the more popular songs of that time and to this day we cannot not hear it without blasting and dancing.
My daughters and I are super close, now they blog with me.
I am a giant child.

Okay, something interesting about me in exchange. If there's something that only 5% of people will do/get etc. I'm often in that 5%. I also kinda lived my life backwards. Examples: (warning these are made up statistics, but you get the jist. Less than 5% of females attended the Univ of Notre Dame and graduated in 1978. Less than 5% of people taking the CPA exam pass the first time. Less than 5% of CPAs were not business under-grads. Less than 5% of woman over 30 get married. Less than 5% of women over 52 have 3 year old daughters. Less than 5% of women over 50 leave their job to be a stay at home mom. Less than 5% of women over 49 adopt children.
Short answer: I'm odd - but in a good way :)
Glad to meetcha! i also live in "Chicago-land"!
